Alan Bristow is the Founder and Managing Director of ICON Corporate Finance. He is recognised as one of the country's leading corporate finance advisers and has over 25 years of combined fund raising and M&A experience. Throughout this period Alan has dealt with some of the world's leading investors and technology companies. He specializes in all aspects of raising venture capital, management buy-outs, acquisitions and corporate sales and has advised on over 200 transactions.
Before establishing ICON, he spent his formative years in the City of London before joining Price Waterhouse in Melbourne. He also worked as the Finance Director for an Australian Investment Group, prior to returning to the UK and establishing ICON as a leading M&A house to the tech sector. He holds a degree in Economics and Politics and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Likes include rugby, economics, skiing, sailing and technology that makes the world a better place.
He is a frequent speaker and author on venture capital fundraising and selling companies.

Brian is a co-founder of ICON and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. He specialises in advising shareholders of technology companies on their exit, managing the entire process. He has over 20 years experience in investment banking, mergers, acquisitions and disposals. Having led exits to large overseas acquirers such as Accenture, Thomson Reuters, CACI and numerous private equity owned companies he has unrivalled knowledge right across the Technology sector.
Having worked both as principal and sell-side adviser he has a unique experience as both a buyer of, and an adviser to, high growth companies. Prior to working at ICON Brian spent eight years in Hong Kong, latterly as Head of Equity Research for CLSA. Before that he worked for two UK PLC's as their Head of Mergers and Acquisitions and completed over 15 acquisitions. Brian is a qualified Chartered Accountant and lives near London.
