It’s a clean sweep for ICON at the South West Deal Awards as the short list of dealmakers is announced.
With entries in Corporate Finance Firm of the Year for ICON, Individual Corporate Finance Advisor for Eddie Harding, Alan Bristow short listed for both Dealmaker of the Year and Advisor of the Year and James Thomas and Chris Price both nominated as Young Dealmaker of the Year.
The stature of the firm has come from their recognised expertise in the technology sector and a rapid rise in deal activity including deals such as the sale of Anvil Software to ION Trading, £12.3 million funding of smart sensor firm DeepStream, £2m funding for Radiation Watch, £2.5million for environmental technology firm Inetec and £7.5 million investment from BAA Plc for Bristol based Advanced Transport Systems.
The ICON team who have completed over 20 deals during the last fifteen months were delighted to be nominated again this year. James Thomas and Eddie Harding made it a double celebration last year by winning Young Dealmaker and Advisor of the Year in 2005.
The Dealmaker Awards recognise the top performers amongst the region’s corporate finance community. Winners are selected by the number of votes they receive from their peers, in a postal ballot across the region.
The winners will be announced at the Deal Awards on October 12th.
