After 15 successful events in other European countries the European Tech Tour Association is coming to the UK, touring Cambridge, London and Bristol from 30th June 2004 to 2nd July 2004. Their mission is to identify 25 technologies companies with the potential to significantly impact the European technology landscape and to introduce those companies to global technology leaders and UK, US and Asian venture capitalists.
ICON’s Alan Bristow has been selected to join the Tech Tour’s national selection committee, comprising distinguished industry leaders from the companies such as Microsoft and leading technology Venture Capital groups such as Apax, Amadeus, MTI Partners and Quester.
Presenting companies will be drawn from:
– Seed stage opportunities – from centres of excellence such as Universities and research Laboratories;
– Early stage companies with developed products;
– Expansion/Development stage companies within their internationalization and consolidation phase;
– Pre-IPO companies; and
– Later stage success stories.
If you are an emerging or fast-growing world class company based in the UK offering innovative and unique technologies or related products or services, ICON invite you to register your company for consideration by the international selection committee. The deadline for entrants is Friday 7th May 2004 and companies should contact Nicky Cotter at ICON Corporate Finance on 01179 220505 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Commenting on the available opportunity, Nicky Cotter said ” The tour will present a “snapshot” of the UK’s technology treasures including candidates from across the spectrum of start-up, expansion and pre-IPO companies all having the chance to project themselves onto a global stage.
We are looking for world class technologies, quality management teams with aggressive growth plans, companies seeking investment and/or strategic partners and companies addressing high growth market sectors”
